Miss Aniela- Is a photographer creating sexy dream like images

[Up and Coming] Natalie Aniela Dybisz aka Miss Aniela photographs herself and manipulates the images on a computer creating something quite surreal
Part - Two
Fragile
A:Tell me about the piece “Fragile”? (pictured above) how did it came about, what was the idea behind it?
This picture is a good one to put in this selection because it shows the diversity of the types of characters I create in my images - this one notably in suspenders and lingerie - but people still appreciate it for its tenderness because of the pose and the processing. It is also square cropped which is something I am experimenting with more. The textures of the shot - the duvet and the hair - were aspects I took great care to empathise when processing this image. It was taken by another person, too, and i am glad that we captured the tumbled moment as they tend to know what looks good in my pics as well as I do.
By The Lake
What about the image entitled “By The Lake”?
ND: Inspired by Flickr artist ‘_rebekka’ I went out with my Sony S85 (and no tripod) to a fishing lake, and from a ground angle wanted to capture a voyeuristic point of view looking in on a surreal pair of characters (similarly dressed, hence the clone surreal feel)i just look at the camera screen which was hard then, as i didn’t have my swivellable screen! this was one of many rural Sussex-based outdoor clone pics
A: So you have a rough idea of what you want to achieve?
ND: Using vibrant colours and lots of grass!hmm…sometimes not, I used to just drive round till a pretty (and lonely) place popped up
A: Do you go to shoots alone or do you have someone helping?
ND: 95% of the time alone - but since meeting my partner in October ‘06 he occasionally helps hold the camera especially if it’s a clone shot and I don’t have tripod with me! However, i much prefer to be alone. I get self-conscious when in company, and end up with a stupid look on my face!
“Nie Jestem Sama”
“Nie Jestem Sama” is an interesting image tell me more about this photograph?
My grandad passed away in January and our bathroom was full of flowers which my sister was using to make the wreaths. I wanted to take advantage of the moment and make a self portrait with this influx of props, but not until the post processing stage did I realise that there was scope to directly allude to my grandfather using the mirror to show a faint reflection of his face and the gravestone-etched ‘Aniela’ to show that we join our loved ones one day. When someone dies it brings back all those questions about what death is, and the picture was created amidst the confusion I felt as to where souls go, if indeed, there is such thing as a soul.
Moonlight bribes
We featured “Moonlite Bribes” in part one however, I would like to know more about the thought behind this photo?
It was very hard to get the original shot (’Cadbury bribes’) because it is hard making dogs look in the direction you want then to look in! However, once I had the shot, which is very nice in its original form, I wanted to create something fantastical in the style of the Flickr artist ‘Gale Franey’. using hours of Photoshop work I worked in grass and glows and crowned the dog and swapped the chocolate in my hand for a snail; lengthened and blonded my hair and generally gave it a thorough Fantasy Photo shopping which is not what I do to all of my images - I tend to prefer a natural feel to them. This one is blatantly a ‘manipulation’ piece but I enjoyed the experimentation and it remains one of my favourites because it celebrates (surreally) my love of animals especially dogs.
