Gwyl Macs Festival sunday - review

Ceri Davies graduate photographer: Sunday I set off with an open mind about what I might experience, if yesterday was anything to go by it would be another real eye opener.
First I checked our the acoustic tentwhich was full of well chilled our people sitting on the floor enjoying the music there was a real nice vibe in there.
Viva Machine were really entertaining, Chris the keyboard player was thowing his keyboard around in the air and leaping around the stage crazily. They really launched into it even though they were on early and not many people had turned up yet they totally rocked out.

Next up The Seal Club Clubbing Club, are really hard to sum up, their music is pretty interesting a real mix of different sounds and flavours, some songs sounded a bit like the legendary Stone Roses and even a bit of the Charlatans. A very weird name but don’t let that put you off definatley worth a listen

Mohair were wicked they reminded me for some reason of Justin Hawkins don’t ask me why. They had a really cool lights, they were funky and jumped around a lot which made a more interesting show, they really impressed me.

Mistress De Funk was mental she was really into it jumping around and getting the crowd involved. The tunes were banging and everyone was loving it as the walls were shaking like mad.

Zabrinski were well interesting but random they go from easy listening to obscure electronica and beats. They sing in Welsh and English which is also unusual, their music was really strange but extremely catchy and infectious.

The last band on the main stage was Magic Numbers, they seemed pretty reserved and didn’t even get off their tour bus until it was time to go on stage. They were shy and reserved, but they did put on a pretty good show .

I really enjoyed the festival and met some cool people, I also got to see some bands that I wouldn’t normally see perform, and they were pretty wicked. Roll on next year.
