Hatcham Social - “Til The Dawn” (Visual CD Review)

Hatcham Social are three talented guys from South East London, whose organic way of working has yielded them a steady stream of fantastic singles. One of which “Til the Dawn” we gave to Matt Gwynne one of our promising new designers to visually review.
‘Til The Dawn’
Matt Gwynne - Both these songs have a definite 60’s vibe to them and they are both very catchy. I was very happy to listen to them on repeat whilst creating the images.
The first track ‘Till The Dawn’ made me immediately think of dancing and night-life. There is a lot of energy in this song and a hint of rebellion. I tried to portray this in the image by making it busy, energetic and a bit trippy.
The second track ‘Pennelope under my Hat’ has the complete opposite vibe to ‘Till the Dawn’, it is a much sweeter/happier song. Lyrically it is quite an interesting song, I was able to use the title of the song to make quite a strong, simple visual to base the rest of the image around.”
