Eddie Vedder - ‘Into The Wild” soundtrack (Visual CD Review)

eddie-pana.png

“Into the Wild” is the first solo album from Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder based on his contributions to the soundtrack for the film of the same name.

“Into The Wild” was directed by Sean Penn about a young guy called Christopher McCandless, who dropped out of society to hitch cross-country and perished in the Alaskan wilderness. We selected Ceri Davies to visually represent his thoughts on the album.

flatout - Eddie Vedder "Into The Wild" soundtrack

Ceri - “Hard Sun” - A soulful song, sounds pretty stripped down. Shot this on one of the first SUNNY days this year. Thought it represented my thoughts about the song perfectly. Smiling surfer taking time out from the “big hard world”

End-of-the-road - Eddie Vedder "Into The Wild" soundtrack

“End Of The Road” - for me it begins at the end of the road’ - took that lyric to work on. Ended up with this. Thoughtful portrait. Matched the ending of the song i felt.”

The-wolf- Eddie Vedder "Into The Wild" soundtrack

“The Wolf” - reminded me of freedom and a peaceful tranquility. Being at one with nature. Being able to call out and possibly not be heard.”

Longnights - Eddie Vedder "Into The Wild" soundtrack

“Long Nights” - 1 vocal on this track with dominant instrument. I chose this shot as it represents the loneliness of the song. Darkening sky, low mist, with one person reflecting on life.”
