We invited a whole host of creative people to submit their visual interpretations of songs from XFM’s Debut sessions. We then selected the best two “Visual Reviews” which successfully represented the songs. And here they are….

Bat For Lashes, "What's A Girl To Do?" visual review by

Bat For Lashes - What’s a Girl To do

Olivia - “This song has a very haunting, otherworldly melody combined with lyrics about heartbreak. Visually to me it conjured up images that look mysterious, delicate yet mysterious and the theme of heartbreak. Particular inspiration came from the lines “It’s all blackened out and my bat lightning heart wants to fly away”.

Mr Hudson & The Library - "Too Late" visual review by

Mr Hudson & The Library – Too Late

Nick Price - “After seeing Mr Hudson & The Library live once before, I remember this song in particular. “Too Late” has a colourful, catchy sound and melody. The inspiration for the image mainly came from the lyrics. “why must I always play the clown?” This person always stands out in the crowd after plenty of alcohol, and is dancing the night away in constant pursuit of the opposite sex.”
