CHINASTYLE - “Trip The Light Fantastic” (Visual CD Review)

chinapanay.png

CHINASTYLE’S first release “Trip The Light Fantastic” has the same energy and feel good vibe as the bands featured in the classic tv series Miami Vice. We gave the single to welsh illustrating wizard Matt to see what he would make of it.

Matt - “For me, ‘Trip The Light Fantastic’ is about wanting to escape a drab boring life and start a new exciting one. It is a very well written song made up of many layers of sound and catchy lyrics. To represent the feeling of unrest expressed in the song I drew a man screaming the lyrics ‘take me away’. The bold simple shapes he is surrounded by are used to reflect the modern feel to the song. To further reflect the desire to escape the dull life and start a fresh, I kept a high contrast in colour between the background and foreground elements.”
