SUBvert magazine gives talented photographers and illustrators the opportunity to come along to festivals with us, but quite often we find enthusiasm and talent isn’t always enough.

Three fantastic bands in one night we couldn’t miss out on this!, so we sent Chris Barber one of our up and coming photographer/reporter who has a strong interest (and great taste) in music along to their gig in Birmingham to tell us how they shaped up.

Everyone keeps telling me about this fantastic Manchester based band The Vipers, so I sent the fabulously talented Nickie McGowan to Night and Day to check them out.

SUBvert went to check out Velvet Revolver at their gig at Manchester, Apollo and we also had the pleasure of interviewing the very charming Duff McKagan

SaidMike are a five piece synth-rock band from Pontypridd who have been around for over four years performing up and down the country. We sent our roving Welsh reporter/photographer Ceri along to their gig in Swansea and this is what he had to say.

“Into the Wild” is the first solo album from Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder based on his contributions to the soundtrack for the film of the same name.

Ceri Davies is a talented graduate photographer/journalist based in Swansea, Wales we asked him to check out Funeral For a Friend at their CIA gig in Cardiff. This is what he had to say.
SUBvert had the pleasure of being invited to do a photo shoot with Tim Burgess from the hugely successful band The Charlatans, at his recording studio in Northwich.
